Love What You Do

A job is just a job – unless it inspires passion! At SEASPAR, staff interact directly with participants resulting in gained experiences, compassion, and unbreakable friendships. Inspired by the people they serve, staff gain resolve for SEASPAR’s mission and dedication driven by a love for what their jobs represent.

If this rings a bell and inspires you to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities while having fun and making friends, then SEASPAR is the place for you!

View current job postings.

(If you would like an application in an alternative format or require any other accommodation to apply for a position, please call us at 630.960.7600.)

After submitting your online job application, you will be sent an email message confirming the successful submission of your application. Please note that resumes, letters of recommendations, and reference information can be uploaded with your application. Your online employment application will remain active for one year, and you may access it at any time to make changes or to apply for different positions.

Access the application system to log into your account.

Do not get discouraged if you do not receive a call for an interview right away, as we wait for positions to open before contacting applicants. SEASPAR will retain your application on file until a position requiring your qualifications is available.

SEASPAR is an equal opportunity employer.

Volunteering

When you volunteer, everyone benefits. Studies have shown that regular volunteer work, more than any other activity, increases life expectancy. The benefits of volunteering also include meeting new people, leading a balanced life, improving your self-esteem, and being a positive influence in the community.

Who Volunteers?

Volunteers can be company employees, school groups, service club members, students, and all individuals who want to share their time, talents, and gifts to make a difference in someone’s life!

Volunteers play an integral part at SEASPAR programs. Volunteers save SEASPAR more than $30,000 in staffing costs each year while creating lasting relationships, giving hands-on assistance, demonstrating skills, and encouraging participation.

SEASPAR volunteers are expected to follow a specific code of conduct when working at programs. Volunteers are placed into programs according to the needs of the program and the availability of volunteers. Volunteers are not staffed into programs as “extra” staff, but are an indispensable part of the program!

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and apply with parental approval. Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.

Become a Volunteer

Complete a volunteer application or return to an existing application.

After submitting your online volunteer application, you will be sent an email message confirming the successful submission of your application. Your application will remain active for one year, and you may access it at any time to make changes or to apply for different positions.

Schools/Groups/Service Clubs

chools, groups, and service clubs have many opportunities to support SEASPAR. These include various experiences within our Adopt-a-Program options:

  • The school, group, or service club members commit to a weekly program by providing a specified number of volunteers each week the program meets. Individual volunteers are able to build relationships with participants, see participants develop over the course of a program, and save SEASPAR money that would otherwise be spent on staffing costs.
  • The school, group, or service club commits to providing volunteers for a special event or tournament at SEASPAR. Individuals will assist with running the event, and also interact with participants. These experiences are usually a half- or full-day commitment and allow SEASPAR to offer low-cost experiences for all who are involved.

For more information about school, group, or service club opportunities, contact us online or call us at 630.960.7600.

Internships

SEASPAR offers internships and fieldwork experience opportunities year-round to college students majoring in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field. Each experience is specifically designed to prepare the student for their professional career by combining practical, hands-on learning with their educational backgrounds according to SEASPAR and university requirements.  The internship program is supervised by a CTRS, and duties involve all the standards set by NCTRC for certification.

For more information about internships, contact us online or call us at 630.960.7600.
