This November, we shine the SEASPAR Spotlight on Kari Winter, a participant whose kindness, commitment, and joy inspire everyone around her.
Kari has been part of the SEASPAR family for many years and brings her warm spirit to every program she joins. Whether she’s performing with the Curtain Callers, sharing her voice in Glee Club, or working hard in music lessons, Kari shows a deep dedication to developing her talents and uplifting her peers. She’s always ready to speak up, try something new, and encourage others to do the same, earning her a well-deserved place in the spotlight.
But Kari’s impact goes beyond the stage. She’s also a longtime leader in our Aktion Club, serving actively for over 15 years. From holding multiple officer roles to chairing the Outreach Committee, Kari helps grow the club by connecting with new members and spreading awareness of Kiwanis and its mission. Her leadership is thoughtful, enthusiastic, and rooted in her love for community.
Kari also gives back in her personal time, volunteering with the West Suburban Humane Society to care for animals in need. It’s no surprise that she has a heart big enough to support both people and pets—and her generous spirit is felt in every interaction.
As one staff member put it, “Hands down, one of my favorite participants!” Kari embodies the values of SEASPAR with grace and passion. We’re honored to celebrate her and everything she brings to our programs and beyond.
